I was on struggle street with this one.
Markets are cancelled due to the stormy weather, so why not sew something fun.
Until it was NOT fun, because I've had to unpick this project 6 TIMES already. 😭

Op shop curtain ( cost $8 🙌) upcycled and transformed into a dramatic backdrop for my gazebo. I'm not finished yet. Could possibly use a third tier ? But I will come back to it later I think.

May has been an incredibly busy month. The workload has been the biggest I've had all year so far. Extra markets, the pop up shop, plus my online store - it's been a lot.
Business : goals met and exceeded.
Personal : a family member has recently fallen ill, and spending time with those closest is of highest priority. I've been meeting deadlines with workload, a few small delays in shipping times - sincere apologies.
To those behind the scenes encouraging and supporting me, reminding me to take care of myself, and checking in - thank you so much. You know who you are, but I wanted to say I appreciate it x

🐝 WORLD BEE DAY 🐝

What did you eat for breakfast this morning?
Was it honey on warm oats or crumpets? Mmm. Yummy.

Take the time to stop and imagine how our world would be, without those hard working bees in it?
A third of our planets food production relies upon the bees in our ecosystem. That's more than just a jar of honey in your pantry!

We have so much to appreciate thanks to those tiny creatures, and you can give a little back by planting a variety of plant species for food, to ensure flowers throughout the year. Also, provide shallow dishes of water with stones so that they can drink without drowning.

8 years later I'm having to restock my empty basket after another market and eat my words 😂

Yes , 8 years ago I started making velvet scrunchies for you all. I instantly fell in love with the luxe softness and jewel-like colours. (They still are my favourites ! )

Thank you for another wonderful market. I enjoyed soaking up the sunshine in the beautiful park setting. Iwill also be back for the final two Sunday markets in May, before your winter break.

What a massive week and weekend!
Huge thank you to The Collective Tree for hosting a 3 day pop up event . Special thanks to everyone who stopped by to purchase and support the local makers this Mother's Day.
Another fantastic market day at SJ Farmers Market on Saturday morning. Beautiful weather and lovely community, including the welcoming stall holders.
Finally, Markets by Mama Respond . WOW !! you blew me away with your support. Meeting so many new faces. Lots of wonderful families out and spending time with Mum. And for making my day with the all the love for my products.

Sold out on vinyl book sleeves. And a handful of dust jackets too.

For everyone that stopped by, said hello, had a chat, took a business card or made a purchase over the last few days - THANK YOU!
