Whew… what a night 😮‍💨✨
The Brisbane Affordable Art Fair has officially kicked off and it is buzzing — colour, conversation, and seriously good art everywhere you turn. It is a treat to witness so much talent and so much good art, all under one roof.
It’s especially fun seeing The Space Cowboy’s works en masse… and watching people discover the augmented reality layer is genuinely unlike anything else at the fair.
Artis Pura is proud to have created a special custom frame for the Space Cowboy Gallery’s starring artwork this year, and is lucky to have had the opportunity to frame a few of The Space Cowboy’s pieces over the years, each given a considered, custom approach to suit the playfulness of the work.

🌿Easter Closure Notice. A little heads up that the studio will be taking a short break over Easter. 🪺 custom framing will be closed from Good Friday through to Wednesday the 8th of April for some family time. That said, I’m still available by appointment during this time as I will be in and out of the studio refreshing my sample walls and I’m more than happy to come in if you’d like to organise a visit, consultation or collection. Two original photos from 1941 featuring the iconic Spitfire and Fairey Battles. These photos carry both historic weight and a certain stillness, particularly in these turbulent times. Carefully framed by custom framing to honour their age and preserve their detail, with conservation materials chosen to protect them for years to come. What a privilege to handle pieces like these.
