I used to think the same thing, honestly, before fully launching Be Gaia.

But then I did the maths.

One shampoo bar = 2–3 bottles.

One set of reusable beeswax wraps = years of cling film.

Sustainable living isn't expensive. Buying the same disposable things over and over again is.

‘Eco-friendly’, ‘Natural’, ‘Green’, ‘Sustainable’, ‘Earth-conscious’.

Cool cool cool... but what does any of that actually MEAN?

Here’s the thing: a lot of these labels aren’t regulated. Companies can slap them on anything and call it a day.

The certifications that actually matter? Look for:

🌿 B Corp Certified
🌿 Certified Plastic Neutral
🌿 Fair Trade
🌿 Leaping Bunny (cruelty-free)
🌿 FSC Certified (for paper/wood products)

But even then - read the fine print. Ask questions. If a brand can’t explain their sustainability claims clearly, that’s your red flag 🚩
