First Test 3D Scan of My Nissan 300ZX Z32 👀

Just ran a quick test scan on my 1989 Nissan 300ZX Z32 using our 3D scanning setup at Cosmic Forge.

This is a rough, unprocessed scan — done purely to test accuracy, capture speed, and real-world capability. Even in this early stage, it shows the potential of what 3D scanning can do for automotive restoration and part reproduction.

Imagine being able to digitally preserve panels, trim pieces, brackets, or even full assemblies — especially for older or hard-to-source vehicles like the Z32.

This is exactly what Cosmic Forge is being built for:
Turning physical parts into digital models for repair, reproduction, and redesign.

More refined scans and automotive projects coming soon.

One of my multicolour 3D prints—a detailed model of Dobby from Harry Potter!

This print showcases what's possible with modern multicolour 3D printing, bringing characters to life straight from the digital world.

What character should I print next?

Big shoutout to JRT3D for creating this wonderful machine, which allows you to turn plastic bottles into usable filament!

Broken, discontinued, worn out, or impossible to find?
That doesn’t always mean it needs to be thrown away.

Using reverse engineering, CAD design, 3D scanning, and 3D printing, I can recreate functional replacement parts for automotive, machinery, household items, and more.

These are a few recent projects, including:
• Ice cream machine components
• Automotive parts
• PVC pipe caps
• Replacement ride-on car parts

From sketches, scans, measurements, or damaged originals — turning ideas and broken parts back into working solutions.

Adelaide 3D Printing, CAD Design & 3D Scanning – Market Research

I’m currently developing a local service offering custom 3D printing, CAD design, and 3D scanning here in Adelaide.

To make sure the service is useful, affordable, and tailored to real needs, I’m gathering feedback from the local community.

If you’ve ever needed (or think you might need):

- A custom replacement part
- A prototype or product idea made real
- A broken or discontinued part recreated
- 3D scanning or CAD design support

I’d really appreciate 2–3 minutes of your time.

Your feedback directly helps shape what services are offered locally and how they are priced.

Thanks for supporting a local startup 👍

This survey is for local market research into 3D printing, CAD design, and 3D scanning services in Adelaide. It will take under 3 minutes and helps shape local pricing and services. All responses are anonymous.

Hey everyone!

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. I've been dealing with some health issues and even some printer issues, so I haven't been able to print or work on many projects lately like I've wanted to.

Now in saying that, I have been trying to at least get to work on some of the projects that I've already printed out and started on recently. Down below is a photo of all the print projects that are needing some love, including some life-size Pokemon and Halo armour/weapons, and the infamous life-sized pod infector form!

Please leave a comment saying which one of these you'd like to see finished first and I'll do my best to get working on it!

Thank you all for your ongoing support!
