I found this little guy running down Belair Road below Windy Point at dawn this morning on the way to the beach, so early I thought it was a baby koala. This old Frenchie has no collar or ID and was extremely distressed exhausted and dehydrated 🥲 I stopped several times to try and get him in the car, worried about other traffic as well as his state, but he kept hurtling down the road.. so hazard lights on, stopped the car (yes I know, please no judgement, there was nobody around at that time of the day and I was so worried about this dog knowing it’s lost and going to be a 40 something degree day), grabbed him and put him in the car. He’s so gentle and obviously knew I was helping him. Home to water, a wet down, and rest. His breathing and heart rate is back to normal, he’s found one of the boys beds and after consulting a girlfriend who has a a Frenchie, gave him some of my cats fresh chicken breast and roo mince after a couple of hours settling and hydrating. He obviously hadn’t eaten in a while. I’m putting out to everyone I can think of to reunite him with his family ❤️ being a public holiday I hope you can share with everybody you know! Tomorrow I’ll take him to my vet to check for a microchip and pray for that to lead him home 🙏 I promise to his humans that we will take good care of him until we do..
*** UPDATE "Billy" has been reunited with owner ***
