Our shop has changed a lot over the years. From Payneham Road to the different layouts at our Norwood location, one thing many customers will remember is a friendly black lab named George, always the first to greet you at the door.

It has been one full year since we lost our boy and it has not been the same without him.

Even though a year has passed, we still remember the smiles he brought to so many of our customers. We just wanted to share a few memories and properly acknowledge a special part of JP Light & Sound 🐾

We also had six of our pro DJ decks positioned around the site, including CDJ-3000s, CDJ-2000NXS2s and our brand new XDJ-AZ inside the iconic Dom Dolla golf ball 🏌️

Live music, local producers and a beautiful Hills setting, brought together with a full festival production setup.

We provided our 9m x 7m festival stage cover, staging, audio and lighting, with on-site crew supporting performances across the weekend.

We’re hiring at JP Light & Sound 🎧✨

We’re in peak season and we’re looking for reliable, switched-on Event Technicians to join the team.

This role is hands-on and suited to people who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment across weddings, festivals and corporate events. You’ll help with setups and packdowns, operate equipment when required, and work alongside a friendly team that takes pride in delivering high-quality production.

We also have an inventory team that manages equipment testing, dry-hire returns and prepping upcoming jobs. For the right person, there are opportunities to work across both areas and build more consistent hours across quieter months, with long-term growth available for people who want it.

A few of our favourite photos from last weekend’s Neon Tides setup 📸

Our 5 m x 5 m pitched-roof stage cover looked great from every angle. It was our first time incorporating our new Astera AX1 Pixel Tubes into a stage cover setup, and they ended up being a standout feature we’d definitely recommend for future builds.

Australian DieCast Expo 2025 🚗🔥
A corporate AV build inside Adelaide Oval for the Hot Wheels national expo.

Our team supplied a complete setup for the presentation, including a 6 m × 3 m stage, dual 150-inch fast-fold screens with Epson 12,000-lumen projectors on long-throw lenses, the Yamaha DM3 for audio control, and four RCF NX 910s for room coverage. Vision was run through our Blackmagic 12G switching rack for a stable, professional workflow.

We also brought in our new Chauvet Ovation E-2 FC profile lights, with this event being their first run.
