The JMC Grand Avenue has now received full government approval in Australia. It marks another Chinese-built dual-cab ute entering the market, with only one variant confirmed so far—though there’s hope the Grand Avenue Pro will eventually make it here as well.

The interesting twist is under the bonnet. In China, the model uses Ford’s 2.3L “PUMA” diesel paired with a ZF 8-speed automatic (the same transmission used in the 2.0L GWM Cannon). For Australia, however, it appears we’ll get JMC’s own 2.5L diesel matched with the same ZF gearbox instead.
