A skilful relocation from an air conditioning unit to a custom-made hollow, carried out by a skilled arborist from Master Tree Care Pty Ltd

The nest of a pair of Striated Pardalotes was carefully relocated to a new, safe nesting site. With close monitoring, the parent birds returned within 2 hours and resumed caring for their nest, continuing to attend to 2 eggs and 2 chicks.

During the height of summer, the homeowners were concerned for the safety of the nesting birds and, with great kindness and consideration for the wildlife sharing their home, chose not to use their air conditioner until a safe solution could be found.

A great outcome for both wildlife and people, ensuring the nest could remain protected in a more suitable natural home.

Brushtail possum reclaiming a wildlife box that was previously occupied by a bee colony and has since been abandoned.

The spread of varroa mites will have a significant impact on feral bee populations, which may also lead to increased availability of hollow spaces for native, hollow-dependent wildlife in Adelaide.

Tree hollows are a limited and important resource for many native species, and well-placed wildlife boxes can help support them when natural hollows are scarce.

We love seeing photos of our wildlife boxes out in the wild being put to good use. This beautiful shot, taken in Radwick NSW, captures a watchful mother possum, with a curious little joey peeking out to see what’s going on.

We’d love to see more photos of your boxes being used, please feel free to share them with us!

With more than 116,000 EV connectors compared to around 60,000 fuel pumps, the shift highlights how rapidly charging infrastructure is expanding across the country.🚘⚡
