Photography is another hobby I enjoy so while I'm not making flutes at present, getting my camera out again gives me some time to reflect and relax.

It's been a month since my surgery, and I'm delighted with my slow but consistent recovery. I'm sharing my MRI image of my tumor and post-surgery photos my staples were removed two weeks after surgery, and show a well-healed scar. If you're navigating a similar journey, know you're not alone; I'm sending thoughts of support and wishing you a smooth recovery wherever you are in the world 🌏. Remember to listen to your body and avoid rushing the healing process as I've learnt it takes time. Kia Ora whanau and friends this is the finished paua shell inlay and crushed mother of pearl inlay on the flute I started earlier. This is the ugly before the beauty so to speak once its filed down and any imperfections filled in the results speak for its self 🥰
