Things to make with canned goods (home made or not)

Puree a can of chick peas with a can of carrots. Add some garlic and cumin, a splash of olive and lemon juice. Season to taste.

So I realise that I haven't posted for a very long time, but I guess now is the time to get back to it! I'm not making anything to sell, but I might start posting about things to do with home canned and pickled good! Wash your hands everyone:)

SOLD! I have 4 jars of this rather wonderful strawberry jam left at $8 a jar. Pickup from Glenalta or I can deliver to the local area.

That is the most preserving that I have done in a short space of time in years!!! Phew. My first ever batch of no added sugar strawberry jam worked really well! Tastes great, set well and shelf safe for a year. All of it is for Christmas pressies this time, but it was a great experiment.

Plum Jam! Just plums and sugar

Finally getting back into some preserving! I beat the birds to the wild plums, (well most of them) so some plum jam is on the stove. I also made some white cherries with brandy for the boy's teachers;)
