New piece: a William Scagel inspired hunter made from 1/8" thick 52100 carbon steel, free hand ground and hand sanded finish. Deer antler, stabilized walnut, brown g10 and stacked leather handle with a brass guard and brass pin to secure the back of the handle which goes through the tang of the blade. Just needs a minor bit of extra work+ edge and a sheath.

After making only fixed blades since I started knife making, I decided to have a go at making a slipjoint folder. This is the first one I've made that I finished at the weekend, a traditional looking pocket knife with a pear wood handle from some wood given to me by a friend a while back, brass liners and pins, and 3mm AEB-L stainless steel. This was great fun to make and I will definitely make some more.

Coffin handled guardless bowie finished, minus sheath. This is made from 5.2mm thick 80crv2 carbon steel (a spring steel, similar to 1080 with a bit of added chromium and vanadium... a very robust steel) and features a brazillian rosewood (tulipwood) handle, file work on the spine and 8 brass pins. Pretty much made out of my need to make something cool that I just felt like making, and my love for classic, old school looking bowie knives.
