A belated excited post about last Sunday workshop~
This time there were 8 curious people who dedicated their day to explore linography.

I love how people are carried away by the process, and how experimenting with a new media opens up a new creative path for them~

July workshop session was a success! Thanks everyone for participating and trusting me to be the one to show the lino-magic to you!

New workshop dates will be announced for late October, when we can dive into more complicated techniques such as jigsaw and multiblock printings.

When I started Linopatum, I never thought that one day my linoblocks will become part of a fashion line curated by ~

It is an ultimately rewarding feeling when you see your prints and your tiny signature on the back of the tshirts hanging at together with other clothing brands and artist-designers' works.

You can find these clothes at 5 Concept store on Sayat-Nova avenue, right next to the Opera House.

July 12 Sunday lino-workshop was a blast!
The process carried everyone away. Dedication everyone had in their sketching, carving and printing was such an exciting thing to follow.

I love how people start with a baggage of perfectionism and slowly carve that unnecessary prejudice out of their way, they become so open for the unknown and experience a childish excitement after they pull their first ever print. All the worries that things will go wrong crash in seconds and they are left with that magical feeling of pure satisfaction ~

Thank you everyone for coming over, I am happy that this printing technique connected us!

There are prints that make me especially happy after every new reveal, like these garlics with their very sharp chatter marks. This time I experimented with dark green and added pastel maroon accents, which turned out very expressive.

Sunday lino workshop was a great opening of my space for future gatherings. The magic of printmaking was in the air, making people excited and happy not only for their own works, but also seeing others pulling their first prints.

This meditative process made people also get distracted from their phones and social media, it allowed them to be fully present in the moment, which is my favorite part of the creative process.

Lines, curves and colors: we were all united within these new dimensions. After everyone left, I had a big smile on my face for another hour, processing all the kind energy and heartfelt excitement.

I had an 11 year old who carved a big block and experimented with several colors, did not focus on imperfections and was so playful with the media. This energy went viral and has been with me since then.

Thank you everyone for joining the first session, you made my Sunday!
