It's with great sadness that I ask you to join me in sending words of comfort to our friends at both Middle East Airlines and Emirates as they deal with the passing of two Lebanese crew members.

Cybelle, a flight attendant at MEA in Lebanon, died this week at the age of 25 just weeks after returning from a trip from West Africa where she contracted Malaria from a mosquito bite.
Cybella's colleagues describe her as a hyper crew member that was always spreading laughter and smiles.

Emirates crew are also paying their respects to a member of their crew family. Ilias, 33 from Lebanon, was found dead in his Dubai apartment after succumbing to bronchitis. His colleagues called him an "ideal crew member that went above and beyond to make crew and passengers part of his family."

The friends of both fallen crew members would like to remind all cabin crew to please take care of themselves and seek medical attention when feeling unwell and to not remain alone if you're unsure of your medical condition.
