The immunity boosters
If you are trying to build your immunity in this current situation, then you have to go to the grocery store that sells fresh produce, not the pharmacy!
▪️With this pandemic circulating around, you have to understand that there is no supplement, diet or a magic pill that will keep you safe from Coronavirus. You have to practice social distancing, wearing a mask and proper hygiene.
▪️But to make sure that your immunity system is strong enough and ready for any challenge, try to include the following in your diet. This lunchbox is what I call (The immunity booster lunchbox) and it includes:
• Red bell peppers: It includes 3 times as much vitamin C as an orange!
• Broccoli: It’s considerd one of the healthiest vegetables ever. It has vitamin C , A and E, in addition to fibers and lots of antioxidants. To preserve its nutritional value eat it raw or steamed.
• Almonds: Its very rich in vitamin E, which supports the immune system next in line to vitamin C. Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin which means that it needs fat to be absorbed properly. Luckily, both are abundant in almonds.
• Orange: Rich in vitamin C, which helps the body to build a stronger immune system by increasing the production of white blood cells. Almost all citrus fruits are high in vitamin C. Your body doesn’t store it as it’s a water-soluble vitamin, so you have to get your daily dose for optimum health. Ladies need 75 mg daily and men need around 90gm.
• Blueberry : A source of antioxidants.
• Chicken: Chicken and turkey are high in vitamin B6, which plays a role in the chemical reactions that happen in the body. It is vital as well to the formation of red bleed cells.
• Whole grains: Whole grains such as whole wheat, quinoa, rye, oats, barley, and brown rice contains lots of vitamins and fibers. It also has a substance called as BX that may help to boost our immune system.
