When the online order doesn’t match the architectural vision, you hit pause. We swapped a chaotic checkout cart for an on-site consultation to design a tailored greening solution for this incredible new office.

The Blueprint:
✔️ Matte black aluminum hanging pots for a structural reception.
✔️ Square Mariella pots with pop-of-colour Dracaenas against black timber slats.
✔️ Workspace dividers using custom cherry/black tropical troughs and floating copper accents.

The brief for this Gorgeous Salon install was to introduce a natural element that complement the structural constants of the space—modern concrete look, sharp black steel, and dramatic mirrors. The main salon section features a brilliant design detail: a structural cavity created by a striking mirror unit, designed specifically to house a tree. Maria and Maria stepped in to source the perfect piece for this exact spot. What we had to work with: a beautiful architectural cavity created by the main mirror structure, creating the perfect framing for a tree. We selected this Ficus for its distinct organic shape. The soft, fluid movement of the foliage provides the ultimate counterpoint to the industrial finishes, bringing life and balance to the main salon floor. Spatial design is all about balance. Exciting times at Hydraulics Femme MOA! We just moved these stunning 4.5m Giant Cherry Blossoms to their new home in the Mall of Africa after a brief stay in the temporary pop-up store.

With a few adjustments to the existing trees to fit the beautiful new space, we’re thrilled to unveil an additional gorgeous tree over the coffee station, literally“growing” from the cabinet. 🌸
