Since 2010, The African Queen Studio has successfully transformed natural waste, dried natural Jacaranda pods, collected in the Breede River Valley, Robertson, in the Western Cape of South Africa, into exquisite chandeliers and lighting. Our environmentally-friendly chandeliers now grace homes, villa, hotels, game lodges nationally and internationally.

We are very proud of another one of our masterpiece chandeliers which was commissioned for the restaurant of the most prestigious winery, Klein Constantia, in Cape Town.

3 meters long, 60 cm wide and 70 cm high. This was a massive job but we got it completed on time. In March it was installed and we are thrilled.

Our latest creation: the CIRRUS RANGE of chandeliers and pendants. A new take on our successful CASCADE chandeliers.
Light and airy, delicate but strong, they can be made in differing diameters and lengths.
And the BABY CIRRUS, diameter 25 cm x 50 cm in length.
Suspend a few of these BABYS a over a kitchen counter or at different heights in an airy corner and enjoy the play of light as they move in a gentle breeze!

My latest project is now working wIth thin cardboard....cereal boxes are best! So flexible and versatile and lots of fun...

My latest project is now working wIth thin cardboard....cereal boxes are best! So flexible and versatile and lots of fun to play with. Here the FALCON in progress and the final piece.
Then the SEAWEED which just sort of happened, and a FANTASY piece for fun. All SOLD!

TTHE AFRICAN QUEEN STUDIO has been busy, even though we have not posted anything for a while.
In the theme of RECYCLING, I have discovered EMPTY TOILET ROLLS! The MAGIC that one can make with them is phenomenal.
We made some exquisite AFRICAN SNOWFLAKES as Christmas decor, which were a HUGE SUCCESS. This spurred me on to go bigger and better.....on canvass and board.
The FLOWER OF LIFE, GOLD on BLACK,
size 46 x 61 cm and smaller sizes will follow, also in WHITE on BLACK, was inspired by the SACRED GEOMETRY symbols.
A reminder that there is PERFECTION and ORDER in life, even in chaos.
