TINFISH BIRYANI, MIDDLE CUT

1 onion
4 tomatoes
1 stem curry leaves
1 green chilli
2 handfuls of mint
1 handful of fresh tyme
Blend the above ingredients into a smooth mixture
1/2 cup oil
2 tbsp butter ghee
1 onion sliced
Few whole spices
2 green chilli
1 tsp ginger garlic
1 tsp jeera powder
1 tsp dhynia powder
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp kashmiri chilli powder
2 tsp rombo rossi meduim
1 can middle cut tinfish cleaned
Salt to taste
1 and 1/2 cup basmathi rice, boil with salt to taste for 12 minutes, drain well
1/4 cup lentils, boil with salt to taste and drain well
METHOD:
In a pot add oil and butter ghee.
Fry onions with whole spices till light golden brown, add ginger garlic and braise for a minute, add a little of the blended mixture and the rest of the ingredients and braise for a minute.
Add the rest of the blended mixture and cook on medium to low heat for 15 minutes.
Add lentils and stir.
Add fish and simmer for 5 minutes.
Add rice and simmer on the lowest heat for 10 minutes. π
