Tonight at sunset, the sabbat of Samhain begins. This is also known as the Witches New Year, and is a time of honouring the cycle of life as it ends and the promise of rebirth. This is a time when we take special care to remember those who have already passed over the veil. This is also the point in the season that is midway between Autumn Equinox and Winter Solstice, the time of our last harvest before the Earth goes to sleep for winter.

I've compiled a little summary, for those who may want to learn a little more about this Pagan festival, as I know there is a lot of stigma still attached to those who don't follow a mainstream religion - if you want to learn, please do. If you don't, then rather don't comment. You know, freedom of belief and all that jazz.
