Today marks 12 years since my dad, Bert Le Roux, passed away.

Some of my best memories with him were spent next to the water — fishing, fixing rods, and talking about the things we loved most. Fishing wasn’t just something we did, it was the time we shared together.

He was the one who taught me everything I know about rods and the passion behind it. The patience, the skill, and the love for the craft all started with him.

Bert Jr Rod Works exists because of my dad and the time we spent learning and building together.

I still carry those lessons with me every day. Every rod I build reminds me of where it all began — with him.

Miss you, Dad. Your legacy lives on in every rod built and every line cast. 🎣
