Flies, mosquitoes, and other biting insects LOVE equine eyes, especially the corners of horses’ eyes. ROCK A FLY BABY MASKS were designed and manufactured with LOVE THAT CANNOT BE MASKED to protect your horse.

Flies and other insects will cause irritations to your horse’s eyes that result in constant tears and cause the horse to squint, and further make the horse susceptible to the development of corneal ulcers and conjunctivitis. Conjunctivitis in horses is a result of swelling of the conjunctiva, which is the pink mucus membrane of the horse’s eyes. This swelling can be caused by an infection, or it may have other non-infectious causes. Insect bites and exposure to perpetual niggling from flies, as well as viral or bacterial infections can also cause conjunctivitis. Rinsing your horse's eyes with saline solution can be helpful in relieving your horse’s discomfort once symptoms arise – when it is too late
in most cases. If the infection is caused by bacteria, your vet can prescribe antibiotic eye drops, and further treatment – very expensive treatment.

A Rock a Fly Baby MASK will prevent this, give you peace of mind, and – most importantly - ensure comfort for your beloved horse.

Fly masks protect the eye from injury, infection, and the very dangerous secondary infections that may ensue from flies and wind when these cause trauma or damage. A horse’s eye is extremely sensitive to UV and wind. Rock a Fly Baby UV protective masks will provide all the protection you need from the sun and harsh weather.

Rock a Fly Baby masks are designed with LOVE to cover the eyes whilst ensuring that the horse has a clear view of their environment. The Rock a Fly Baby mask’s eye piece is semitransparent and made from a mesh which allows the horse to see and hear clearly while wearing it.

Rock a Fly Baby masks provide protection from UV-light and protection from flies, mosquitoes and other insects. Masks are a vital and affordable part of overall care of horses. It’s important to bear in mind that biting insects are a dangerous source of irritation that may transmit diseases to your other animals once an infection sets in.

Rock a Fly Baby masks eye covering patches are manufactured by hand – individually - using plain black or white mesh, and the head covering is available in a range of fashionable fabric designs that do not interfere with the horse’s vision. Rock a Fly Baby masks are tailor-made to cover the upper head and stop about halfway down the face. Our design includes stitched darts that prevent the mask from rubbing on the eyes. The soft and comfortable fabrics used in our masks ensure that no irritation occurs around your horse’s sensitive face.

The Rock a Fly Baby mask’s unique design covers the muzzle but does not interfere with grazing, because it does not cover the horse’s lower jaw. The Rock a Fly Baby mesh and stretch Lycra design eliminates the requirement for uncomfortable zippers or Velcro that would irritate the horse by snagging in the facial hair.

Rock a Fly Baby masks are machine-washable and made from quick-drying lightweight fabrics in a range of colours and designs. Masks should be removed and inspected daily, and washed frequently. Although your horse should not need to wear a fly mask at night, Rock a Fly Baby masks are comfortable enough for all-day and overnight wear when the horse has an eye condition for which your vet has recommended prolonged cover of the eyes.

Rock a Fly Baby masks are produced in the historic village of Bathurst in the Eastern Cape through a community development initiative to uplift women in the community by providing employment.
