Winch Casting Braid review

Back in 2020 a friend gave me 100lb Winch Braid that had already been used for drone fishing. He told me that this particular braid can't break and so my fishing journey with Winch Braid began. I fished that braid very hard. I had plenty of friends and fellow fishermen, that caught their personal best on that reel, with that braid. Not once did it break, when other fisherman's fish swam over my line, winch braid would cut off their line with no damage to the braid.
After seeing what it is capable of, I just had to try the thinner winch braid and I started with the 60lb.
Filled the Gosa 25k with my first 60lb winch braif and the rest went on my grinder that I use to fish with between the rocks. It replaced the 80lb line that was on both reels. Firstly it casts much better, with way less drag in the water when fishing in the stronger seas. It doesn't fray at all and after many sessions in the worst of places it's still looks and feels brand new.
It casts like a 60lb line, is as strong as a 80lb line and is as abrasive resistance like a 100lb line.

I normally replaced my 80lb about 3 times during the shark season, I'm currently in my second season and the braid performance is exactly the same as the day I spooled the reel. Everyone fishing with me knows when I get a fish on I will pull it as hard as I can because I have all the confidence in the world in this winch braid. Personally, Winch braid is by far the best braid I've fished with. Not only is it very well priced but because it lasts so long you save a lot of money.

So I’ve been using Winch Casting Braid for a while now and certainly tested it out on some big fish; bronzies, raggies, blackrays and a thorntail.

The Braid is so abrasive, strong and it’s very cost effective. i haven’t had any weird line breaks and no problems with windknots.
I mainly use the 60lb line for the bigger fish and it’s amazing 🤩

We have trialed and tested the 80 to 120lb Winch braid and have found that the product is highly abrasive and very durable when targeting bottom fish along and inside rocky crevasse.

When the Winchbraid business first started, I purchased two rolls of Winchbraid, 50lb braid with 600m spool length and 35lb braid with 300m spool length.

As I fish more for edibles, the 35lb is ideal as its proven time and time again how reliable and strong it is.💪
I have landed a few Diamonds of close to 50kgs in weight, with the 35lb braid

I also landed numerous Kobs. The biggest kobs weighing in at 62.4kg, 40kg and 36kg and plenty of shad rockods, cave bass, stumpies and brown skates using the same braid. My latest catch was a small duckbill of approximately 7kg
I would definitely recommend this braid, as it is extremely durable and very strong.

Attached is a photo of the reel with the original braid I bought a few years ago and even though it has lost its colour, it has most definitely not lost any of its strength.

Winch Casting Braid was a small business that started a few years ago and never did we imagine the business to reach the success it has today. All you need is a small idea and big confidence to build a business. Over the year we have met some amazing fishermen that have since become winch brand ambassador.
