From French treats at Rendezvous, to tasty oriental treats at Buddha of Westerham. Or if you fancy a big breakfast, then pop along to The Tudor Rose Tearoom, No 21 the Green or Maeva's courtyard. For a full Sunday lunch then the Grasshopper on the green is the place to be why not add a local beer from Westerham Brewery! If you want to treat dad to a special tipple, then pop along to Quercus Wines where Matthew can pick you the perfect wine to add to your box of delicious chocolates from Chocs on the green! If Dad likes something spicy... Bussi bites is your place to go!

🏁 OMG. WESTERHAM HAS A MOTORSPORT EVENT!

Yes, really. Every year, the grounds of Valence School in Westerham are taken over by roaring engines, gleaming bonnets and the kind of noise that makes the neighbours’ net curtains twitch.

The Festival of Motoring is back — Sunday 28th June, 10am–4pm — and it is absolutely not what you’d expect from a quiet little market town in Kent.
We’re talking:
🚗 Autosolo demonstration runs — classic and performance cars putting on a proper show.

🏎️ Display paddock packed with classic, performance and genuinely rare cars.

🎟️ Passenger rides (yes — YOU can ride shotgun in a race car)

🍔 Food, bar, kids’ activities, entertainment.

And here’s the history bit that blew our minds: this event actually dates back to 1962, when Valence School hosted its very first hill climb — 712 yards of pure adrenaline through the school grounds, run by the Sevenoaks & District Motor Club. It ran for decades before going quiet for 20 years. The revival? Hugely welcomed. The 2026 edition? Bigger and better than ever.

All proceeds support Valence School, which provides specialist care and education for young people with disabilities. A brilliant day out for a brilliant cause.
