Ikebana by Me Ikebana is a Japanese way of arranging flowers on a holder in a container filled with water and a well known traditional Japanese art practiced for centuries.

It has come a long way from Buddhist temples to royals to aristocrats to commoners. The word Ikebana is made of two Japanese words - "ike " +"bana". "Ike"means arranging and "bana" means flowers.Ikebana is a individual creative expression. If ten arrangers are given same floral material along with same vase, the all ten arrangements will be differently arranged. Ikebana is not simply a hobby or pass

ion to me but has become a way of my life,it's a quite communication with my inner self through flowers. I have been practicing Ikebana for nineteen years in Hyderabad, India. Awarded by Ohara school, Japan, the degree of “ Associate First Master" urged me to learn more which took me to Japan few times to learn under Ikebana professors. I have attended Master's Seminar and conventions in Japan, and many Asian and European regional conferences. Where masters from all over the world come including Ohara school professors and senior masters, they have enriched not only my experience but have given me many wonderful friends.

“Ikebana by Me” is a small gesture, where I will like to share what I have learnt these many years and welcome you to participate in this endeavour of mine. I dedicate this page " Ikebana by Me " to Ikebana lovers. Let us make a fragrant garland of friendship with flowers around the Mother Earth. It is my pleasure to introduce my two books on Ikebana . My first book Ikebana, Japani Pushpkala (Hindi Language) is a Hard Cover book with 252 pages. It is the first book in the world, written by any writer in the Hindi language about Ikebana & the second book “Ikebana for Beginners”- fun with flowers, is in English language. This book introduces Basic and Advanced styles of Ikebana for the new comers. Both the books are available on Amazon.in & on Kindle. You can get it by sending mail directly to [email protected].
