MAY CRUMBS 🩵🪿🫶🏻

This time last year I was thrifting & debating whether to start posting my items. My roommate was home and we were having a ‘productive evening’ (aka drink wine and task double so we can both get our lives together) and I was working on the name for this account so I could create it and start posting. Forget Me Not won every time we went through the list, & the meaning behind it seemed so obvious as soon as I decided that was the name.

I remember simply thinking well, if I have the name I might as well make the account so I do something about it. Meanwhile I was terrified because I was scared to start posting for real & making something of this.

Despite being so nervous I wanted to throw up, I eventually made that first post. And then another. And another. And market place posts. And then started applying for markets. And somewhere along the way I started meeting you lovely people who were excited for what I was posting & who shared my style (and then it got a lot less scary).

Now everything about this feels like second nature. I love finding treasures & decorating & showing up at markets so I can meet all of you. My favourite part of it all is the stories that come out - whether someone is familiar with an item’s origin, or someone shares a story of what this item reminds them of - I love hearing it all. I love how excited you get when you step into my booth & find the item that speaks to you. And of course I love seeing familiar faces 🩵

As we get closer to Forget Me Not’s first birthday (June 8 - stay tuned for exciting news), I am feeling so much gratitude for this community. Thank you for letting me show up & share my style with you. Thank you for bringing so much joy into the process. And of course, thank you to all of my friends and family who support me every single day to make this possible. It wouldn’t have happened if they didn’t believe in me 🩵

This first year has been a wild ride, and I’m so so SO excited to see what happens next🩵

I’m kicking off the first weekend in June with a double market weekend, so I’ll see you at and 🪿🫶🏻✨

It’s been a while since I’ve done a ‘Style With Me’! So here are some updated photos of corners I’m working on in my home 🫶🏻

The first upgrade is my front entry way & the second is a corner in my kitchen that I hated looking at day in & day out!

As I shared a little while back on my stories, decorating and styling can sometimes be so frustrating, especially when you feel like there’s a missing piece. If that’s how it feels, I always say step away and come back later.

A curated home takes time. It takes time and finding the perfect pieces that just fit with your space. So if you’re feeling frustrated because a certain corner isn’t coming together, I promise you’re not alone 🫶🏻

As someone who rents, there are things I can’t really change - such as the tile in the kitchen, or anything that is more of a permanent change. This is challenging me to work within my space, and embrace my style wherever I’m at 🫶🏻

I’m so excited about this entryway upgrade because it feels more like me 🩵

Have a project you’re working on? Tell me about it! Sharing the decorating ups and downs, tell me about that too - we can cry together 😝🩵
