Happy Sunday! 🤍

It’s been a busy week over here, but a really good one. Lots of books, lots of baking, and apparently I’ve been spending way too much time on Threads lately. 😂

I’m currently listening The Poisoner’s Daughter, which was gifted to me by Penguin Random House Audio 🎧 , and I’m excited to really settle in with it today.

Hope you get a slow Sunday, a good book, and at least a little time to do absolutely nothing. 🤍

As a content creator, this thread really angered me. An author calling out a content creator because after 48 hours, nobody read her book that the content creator had posted about like it was supposed to be instantaneous and we were all supposed to run and drop everything to go read it. It’s release day for The Magic We Made! 🧡✨

We’re BIG Meg Cabot fans in this house (as you can see by our collection😍), so getting a gifted early copy from HarperCollins was such a treat!

This is book two in the Witches of West Harbor series, but you can absolutely read it as a standalone. It’s witchy, funny, romantic, a little chaotic, and has that classic Meg Cabot charm that makes her books so easy to fly through. I especially loved the mix of small-town, mystery crime with magic.

Basically, a really fun cozy-ish magical read just in time for fall. 🍂🔮

Happy Release Day to LOST AND FOUND by Tarah DeWitt!

⁉️ when you find an author you love do you go back and read their backlist?

i’ve been a huge fan of Tarah’s for many years and have loved so many books that she’s written, but I think this one might be one of my favorites. I’m so use to her books having a little bit more humor to them in the series is definitely been an emotional ride.

Childhood crushes, best friends, finding your way back to someone, IVF, loss, grief, and all the complicated emotions that come with loving someone through different seasons of life.

I listened to the audiobook alongside my physical copy, and Samantha Brentmoor was OUTSTANDING as always! She is already one of my favorite narrators, but she absolutely brought this story to life. There were several moments where I genuinely got choked up listening to her.

And then THAT EPILOGUE.

Tarah DeWitt did not come to play. 😭 It hit exactly where it needed to and made an already emotional story even better.

As much as I love summers, fall is my favorite time of year. Do an I getting ready early? Heck ya. Bring on the cozy sweaters, curled up with a good book and pumpkin spice lattes.

I’m definitely over this summer heat.
