✨ A brief return to angels to help raise funds for the invaluable work of ✨

This little angel found a home through a recent charity auction. I didn’t manage to promote it at the time — a case of “life” getting in the way — but I still wanted to share it and shine a light on the amazing work Accomplish do.

They’re a UK-based charity that funds locally-run projects in rural Africa. Their mission is to transform the lives of disabled children in Africa, usually in poor, remote regions. Find out more at: www.accomplishtrust.org.uk

Getting stuck into some ink experiments this evening—such a joy to play with.
It’s like watching magic happen in real time. The colours flow and react in unpredictable ways, which I love.

I'm beginning to imagine what might happen if these loose, flowing colours met the tight architectural lines of the Rose Window from my last post....I think I need to find out.....😁

Getting friendly with the Rose Window at York Minster
The craftsmanship totally blows me away. How did people even begin to design something so intricate—let alone build it at that scale and height, without calculators or modern tools?

It makes me wonder what other feats of human creativity and engineering we’ve almost forgotten to be amazed by.
Any favourite examples or mind-blowing facts about what people achieved before machines took over?

Here’s a little sneak peek at a little something I’ve absolutely loved making. Isn’t the yarn (from Hobbycraft ) just gorgeous?! 🤩

The biggest challenge I have with gifting it?......Patience!....I just can’t wait to see the reaction. 😆

It will therefore be heading to its new owner well before their actual birthday… but hey, who’s complaining about an early present? Especially when its as snuggly as this! 🎁

✨ A little off-piste, but I’m so excited to introduce... The Itty Bitty Picky! ✨

Here’s the deal: I’ve always been a fidgeter. Crafting keeps my hands busy, but when I’m not making something, I catch myself picking at my hair or skin. Not ideal!

I’ve tried the usual fidget toys, but I just don't find them very satisfying. So, I decided to make my own solution—The Itty Bitty Picky! It’s a squeezable silicone capsule packed with sparkly, quirky bits and bobs. Now I can pick and fiddle to my heart’s content without needing extra concealer or risking a bad hair day!

These little lifesavers will be fidgeting their way to my Etsy shop very soon. Stay tuned!

My latest commission:
The specification: Benji didn't just want any old back cushion for Christmas, he wanted a tiger cushion (obviously!), and (as per usual) he had a very precise idea of the design he wanted.
Design development: After some negotiation, mainly around the eyes (which looked very freaky when I first made them open), I think we've successfully achieved the brief....and most important of all, I enjoyed making him and Benji has honed his project management skills 😅
Final product: Client approval 5*
Lessons learned: I bloomin' love a good craft challenge 🥰
