Construction continues at Under My Wing.

Please forgive this late update to our page as well as the absence of our postings.

We hope your holidays have been great, unfortunately, with my husband hospitalized and building under construction I have had no time or energy to keep everyone in the loop except for a few Facebook posts. I do pray you are all going to have a spectacular New Year filled with Health, Wealth, and Prosperity.

I would like to see if you can share the happenings here as well as extend my apologies for not communicating with many of our followers and donors. We can sure use the support morally and financially. Scott is still not doing well. However, he may be coming home in January but will need to extend home care (4-6 month then outpatient rehabilitation), my sister will be staying for 5 days next week to prepare my bedroom for the hospital bed and his prolonged care at home. She will also attend to the birds and keep the house clean. I would like to thank Carolyn Mcgahey for doing an excellent job in keeping the bird rooms super clean in addition to help with many other chores, Dorothy, George, my wonderful grandson Javan Moore, who has taken on more than I expected him to, my sisters and my son.

I can’t begin to explain how very hard this has been on me for I spend many hours at his side, the refuge with limited help and only 1 paid employee and of course both the sanctuary and personal finances.

What should have been the happiest time watching the new building for the birds build, I am only able to see the work done once a day, not enjoying and sharing all of it. The builders are doing a great job. I was hoping to do a huge fundraising in December but since Scott went to the hospital on Dec 5th the fundraising got put on hold. Hopefully, we can do something soon. Perhaps, when Scott gets home and in the new building.

With Scott hospitalized our finances are limited to his Temporary Disability which has yet to come in. Scott’s paycheck supported the refuge greatly, this places Under My Wing at a disadvantage and I am hoping our supporters can help financially more than ever not only for upkeep but to help finance the building. With unforeseen health of mu husband we had budgeted to help Under My Wing with a building loan of $100K

Our financial need for temporary upkeep of the sanctuary monthly is $1500

Under My Wing New Building Loan is 100K.payable at $1,000 a month with no interest (Mr. Brodsky donated the Interest of the loan)

Birds are in great need of toys for I have no time to assemble them, if possible volunteers who can assemble them, we can provide some toy parts

I can use some help from experienced person who can help me groom the birds; nails, showers

I had ordered enough food and Nutriberries for a month’s worth so we are good with that for a few weeks but we are lacking fresh fruits/veggies and nuts

We will need volunteers to help us with bringing cages in new building late Jan early Feb, set up swings, perches, cutting wood and construct aviaries in the new building

If someone can help to keep our pages updated, would like to fundraise on our behalf, shoot some picture on site and share please contact me via email [email protected]

Donation can be done via PayPal [email protected]. or mailed to Under My Wing Avian Refuge, 1243 Rte 23 North, Wantage, NJ 07461

The fundraising page for the building is www.undermywingavianrefuge.org I am uploading pictures of the construction of the building almost daily

Thank you!

LIMITED QUANTITY IN STOCK - ORDER TODAY!

F10 SC 200 ml (6.8 oz) Veterinary Disinfectant $35.00

F10SC (Super Concentrate) Veterinary Disinfectant is an EPA approved hospital grade disinfectant. It is used in many of the world’s leading veterinary hospitals and zoological institutions as well as by leading reptile, avian and exotic pet breeders and keepers. F10 disinfectant is widely recognized as the most effective and economical total spectrum disinfectant on the market.

F10SC is non-corrosive, non-toxic, non-irritating and aldehyde free so has no adverse effects on people, animals, equipment or surfaces. It has been proven effective at recommended concentrations against all types of bacteria, fungi and spores including MRSA, avian influenza, psittacine beak and feather disease, canine parvovirus, e.coli, aspergillus and a host of others.

F10SC Veterinary Disinfectant can be used in a wide range of applications — disinfecting cages, water bowls, floors, racks, shelving, perches and toys, food preparation areas, inside incubators, washing eggs and decontaminating hands. F10SC can also be applied as a fog or fine spray to mist rooms to eradicate airborne microbes and to stop cross contamination.

F10SC is active against bacteria, fungi and spores. It is an excellent product for achieving a high level of biosecurity and poses no hazard to yourself or your animals when used at recommended concentrations.

F10 products are non- toxic, non-corrosive & biodegradable.

F10SC can be sprayed on and left to disinfect after cleaning with no need to rinse off. Unlike many other products, F10 stays active providing an ongoing residual effect.

The recommended dilution rates of F10SC are:

- General disinfection at 1:500 (2ml in 1 liter of water)
- High level disinfection against bacteria, fungi and most viruses at 1:250 (4ml to 1 liter of water)
- For use against the most resistant viruses such as Parvovirus or PBFD at 1:125 (8ml in 1 liter or water)
Each bottle of F10SC includes a measuring pour spout.

The 6.8oz container of F10SC makes 50 one liter spray bottles in the 1:250 dilution.
