One of the most common things I hear during a session is:

"I didn't realize how much tension I was holding there."

Shoulders.

Jaw.

Hips.

Hands.

Feet.

The body has an incredible ability to adapt. It learns to compensate, brace, and carry on long after the original reason for the tension is gone.

Over time, what was once a response becomes a pattern.

And eventually the pattern starts feeling normal.

One of the things I love most about bodywork is helping people become aware of what they've stopped noticing.

Because you can't release what you can't feel.

Awareness is often where the process begins 🌿

One of my favorite parts of a session happens at the very end.

Whether someone comes for bodywork, energy work, or an herbal consultation, I have them pull a card from my herbal astrology deck before they leave.

I don't tell them which card to choose.

I don't shuffle with a specific intention.

I simply ask them to pull the plant that is calling to them.

What's fascinating is how often the plant mirrors exactly what is happening in their life.

Sometimes it reflects a challenge they're navigating.

Sometimes it speaks directly to a pattern they're trying to break.

Sometimes it highlights a strength they're being asked to embody more fully.

And sometimes the message is so spot-on that we both just sit there for a moment.

As an herbalist, I've always believed that plants have far more to teach us than their physical properties alone.

They each carry a story, an intelligence, a personality, and a way of seeing the world.

An invitation to pay attention.

And so far, the right plant has shown up every single time 🌿

I had a bodywork client in my camper space yesterday.

One thing I’ve had to learn recently is that waiting for everything to be perfect can sometimes become its own form of procrastination.

Would I like every detail of the space finished? Absolutely.

But yesterday reminded me that what people remember most isn't whether every project is complete or every detail is exactly how I envisioned it. They remember how they felt.

The space is still evolving, and honestly, so am I.

In the meantime, the work continues.

My books are currently open for bodywork, energy work, and herbal consultations. If you've been thinking about reaching out, feel free to send me a message and we can see what might be the best fit for where you are right now 🌿

Nervous System Regulation Series
Integration & Astrology — Regulation as Sovereignty

One of the things I appreciate about astrology is that it can reveal where we are naturally more reactive, overstimulated, emotionally guarded, impulsive, mentally scattered, hyper-independent, people-pleasing, controlling, avoidant, or prone to burnout.

Not as a limitation.
But as awareness.

Because awareness creates choice.

A person who understands their own patterns tends to move through life differently than someone constantly being unconsciously driven by them.

The nervous system is no different.

Most people spend their lives reacting from conditioning, survival patterns, emotional wounding, chronic stress, overstimulation, or inherited coping mechanisms without ever fully realizing it.

Regulation creates space between the trigger and the response.

And in that space, people begin reclaiming themselves. 🌿

Nervous System Regulation Series
Integration & Astrology — The Bigger Lens

One of the approaches that has deeply influenced the way I view the body is the constitutional perspective.

Instead of looking at symptoms in isolation, the constitutional approach looks at patterns.

How someone moves through the world.
How they respond to stress.
Where depletion tends to accumulate.
What systems are under pressure.
What the body has adapted to over time.

Not everybody dysregulates the same way because not everybody is built the same way.

Some nervous systems become overstimulated and scattered.
Some collapse inward and shut down.
Some stay in chronic tension and over-functioning for so long that it eventually becomes their “normal.”

This is why I believe support for the body has to be individualized.

The more I study the nervous system, herbalism, constitution, and medical astrology together, the more I see the importance of learning how to work *with* the body instead of constantly forcing it into someone else’s blueprint.

Awareness changes the way we support ourselves 🌿

Nervous System Regulation Series
Integration & Astrology — The Bigger Lens

One of the things I find interesting about medical astrology is how accurately certain patterns can show up through the nervous system.

Mercury and the air element tend to move fast.
Thoughts move fast.
The nervous system moves fast.
There can be a constant stream of processing, analyzing, anticipating, learning, responding.

With strong air influence — especially Aquarius — there can be a tendency to stay highly mental and overstimulated for long periods of time without fully realizing how disconnected the body has become in the process.

The mind stays active while the body quietly accumulates tension, fatigue, dysregulation, shallow breathing, sleep disruption, or nervous system exhaustion underneath it all.

This is why regulation often isn’t about “doing more,” but learning how to come back into the body again.

Slowing down.
Breathing deeper.
Reducing overstimulation.
Movement.
Touch.
Grounding.
Rhythm.

The nervous system responds differently when it no longer feels like it has to stay constantly switched on 🌿

Nervous System Regulation Series ~ Integration & Astrology

One of the reasons I’m drawn to medical astrology is because it offers another lens for understanding patterns within the body.

Not in a fatalistic way.
Not as an excuse.
But as a way of observing tendencies.

Some people are naturally more sensitive to stimulation.
Some burn through energy quickly.
Some hold stress in the gut, jaw, shoulders, or nervous system long before they consciously recognize it.

We’re not all wired the same way, which is why healing and regulation can’t always be approached with a one-size-fits-all method.

The more I study the body, herbalism, and nervous system patterns together, the more I see how interconnected everything really is.

Awareness changes the way we care for ourselves 🌿

I moved back into the camper this past Friday and have been slowly working on getting everything set up.

There are still a few things I’m working through, but I’ve started making some changes to the space—removing the loveseat and one of the dinette benches to open things up, and getting ready to update the interior with paint and new flooring in the kitchen and shower area.

It’s a work in progress right now, but it’s starting to take shape.

I’ll share more as things come together.

Beginning May 1st, I’ll be transitioning back into my camper space.

This shift allows me to simplify and return to the way I work best—more focused, more intentional, and more connected to both the body and the plants.

Over the past year, my work has continued to deepen across bodywork and plant-based formulation. This next phase brings those pieces together in a more integrated way.

I’ll be continuing to work with clients in a more focused setting, while also returning more fully to formulation—creating a range of plant-based supports including tinctures, syrups, tea blends, infused oils, salves, and other preparations.

Right now, I’m working on a few seasonal pieces, including a tick spray and sun protection, which I’ll be sharing more on soon.

I’m also beginning a collaboration with Shades of Lavender Farm with a monthly offering, which I’m really looking forward to.

As I get everything set up, I’ll be posting updates on availability, offerings, and what this next season of work will look like.

I appreciate those who have been following along—it means more than you know.
