We drove an hour and a half to take our long-haired cat, Rocket, to Doggie Stylez Pet Grooming in Cedar City—and we’d do it again in a heartbeat.

Rocket is not an easy cat. He’s high-energy, stubborn, and usually wants nothing to do with strangers. But Kerrie? She handled him like a pro—with gentleness, patience, and the kind of calm confidence that only comes from someone who truly loves animals.

This isn’t just any saddle pack — it’s the Rocking Seneca All-in-One, invented by my late husband and still proudly made in the USA. We still hear from folks who bought theirs in 1978. It’s not broken… just time-faded. And they still don’t want to let it go.

He used to say the only thing he did wrong was make it too good.

These days, when I see prices spike on certain products, I smile — it usually means they’re from China. And I don’t want anything from China. Not in my home. Not on my horse. I’ll gladly pay more for American-made because it’s worth every penny.

The Rocking Seneca® saddle pack is the most compact, yet roomy, convenient, and lightweight saddle pack ever designed. This superior saddle pack protects your horse from kidney damage with no flopping or bouncing, even on rough terrain. It also works great on snowmobiles. It’s superior to any other saddle pack you'll find, with customers still using their original packs after 46 years.

The 3/4 inch nylon webbing, 36 inches long, hooks through the bottom loops of your saddle pack. These straps prevent flopping and bouncing while riding, even over the roughest terrain. Fasten the straps where they best suit your saddle; some people secure them to the main cinch under the saddle skirt. Ensure the straps are tight for minimal movement.

To check if the pack is secure, ride at a gallop or trot and look behind you to see if it’s moving. Make sure your saddle pack is loaded with supplies, balancing the weight evenly from side to side. The weight and condition of your horse, the length of the trip, and the total load, including the rider and saddle pack, should all be considered. Be mindful of what items are necessary for your trail ride adventure.
