👏👏👏
When I look at pictures like this, I can’t help but be taken back to our very first headline tour in 1992. It was a 21-date theatre tour across the UK, and our budget for the entire tour was just £21,000.
We spent most of it on rehearsals, trying to create a show that could work on any stage without relying too heavily on production. We had enough left to build a ramp around the back of the band, giving us somewhere to go other than just the front of the stage all evening.
Even then, we constantly dreamed and talked about the day we’d have the budget for bigger ideas and better shows.
Our focus was always the same: how do we make our audience go “wow”? How can we put on the best show out there? How can we bring our dreams to life?
Well, it happened. And it has happened many times since.
So when I see a stage like this, it means one thing: we did it. Not just the dream, but the ambition too. We found the very best people to partner with — like-minded people who wanted to hear that response…
“Wow.”
Well done, Team Take That.
