Strength Born From the Breaking

Strength Born From the Breaking Sharing faith, healing, and real stories—because God can turn your breaking into strength.

Hi, I’m Netta — and this space, Strength Born From the Breaking, is where faith meets real life. I’ve lived through trauma, loss, confusion, shame, and seasons where I truly believed I was too broken to be whole again. But God stepped into the mess, lifted me out, and taught me that strength is not found after the breaking… it is formed in the breaking. Here I share real stories, biblical reflecti

ons, and encouragement for anyone fighting to find their identity, healing, and faith again. This page is for the hurting, the rebuilding, the searching, and the growing. If you feel forgotten, unseen, or too far gone — you’re in the right place. God is still writing your story, and there is strength waiting for you on the other side of the breaking.

"Have you ever asked yourself, 'Who is God?' If you have, you're not alone."

Many of us grow up hearing about God, but never really knowing who He truly is. So today, we start at the very beginning - with the most important question of all.

Who is God?

God is not the one who hurts us - He is the one who heals us. God saw the sin that entered the world and came down from heaven as Jesus, who paid the penalty for our sins so we wouldn't have to. He never promised that we wouldn't face struggles and pain in this fallen world, but He did give us free will - the freedom to choose Him. Love isn't real if it's forced, so God lets us choose. But He promises that those who choose Him will never walk alone. He will never leave us or forsake us. He will be with us through every trial, and when this life is over, He will create a new Heaven and a new earth with no more pain or sorrow, where every tear will be wiped away.

"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." -- John 16:33

For many years, I didn't know who God really was. I thought He didn't care what I went through, and later I believed He was punishing me. But as I grew and learned the truth, I realized God had been with me the whole time - healing, guiding, and slowly showing me who He really is.

When you think about God, what is the first feeling that comes to your heart?

Life doesn’t always go the way we expect. Some seasons feel chaotic, confusing, or completely upside‑down. And if I’m honest, this year has already brought lessons I didn’t ask for, but every single one has been exactly what I needed in that moment.
God has touched on so many areas of my life since 2026 began, and each one has met me right where I was. So as we begin this journey together, I want you to know this:
We will grow one day at a time.
We will let the Lord lead.
We will face our struggles honestly.
And we will learn how to pursue peace the right way — God’s way.
We are giving our 2026 to God.
Not because we have no other options.
Not because we’re desperate.
But because He is what we need, and we are learning to seek Him first.
(Matthew 6:33)
I don’t know if you’ve ever said this, but I know I have many times:
“I keep trying my best, but it’s not working. What am I doing wrong?”
That’s when self‑doubt creeps in.
Then anxiety.
Then frustration.
Then bitterness.
Then the feeling of being stuck.
But if we want real change, the kind that lasts, we have to start in the one place many of us avoid:
Within ourselves.
We have to let God shine His light on the good, the broken, the hidden, the parts we've ignored, the parts we've protected, the parts we've been afraid to face.
We must stop blending the Creator with the creation the way the world teaches us to.
We must learn who He is, and who we are in Him.
This is our year to grow.
This is our year to surrender.
This is our year to rise.
So today, I want to leave you with one question to think about:

How do we find the strength to live for the Lord?

Let’s discover the answer together.

Ask your questions, don't be afraid, you can't learn if you don't ask.

It’s been a crazy season, but I praise God that every single day He gives me another chance to grow in His Word. As we step into 2026, I’ve made a decision: this is the year I intentionally seek what God desires for my life.
I’m 36, almost 37, and I’m not ashamed to say I’m still learning who I am and what my purpose is. Growing isn’t always easy. Some days feel like a struggle. And yes, I see people who already know their purpose, walking in it and doing amazing things. I’m not bitter about it — but I can feel it in my spirit:
It’s time.
It’s time to discover what God has for me when He becomes my first choice.
Not my husband.
Not my children.
Not my family or friends.
Not even myself.
Just Him.
This year, I want to truly grow into the woman God designed me to be. And I want to invite you to grow with me. Let’s walk this journey together. Let’s pursue what God has called us to do. Let’s discover our identity and our purpose in Him.
Join me this year as we grow, surrender, and rise together.

Good morning everyone! Today's Reflection is on Psalm 29.

I'm not perfect. I've been through pain that could have broken me, but God used it to reshape me. Psalms 29 reminds me that God's voice still moves mountains, still brings peace after the storm, and still speaks to hearts that are willing to listen.

I don't always hear Him the way David did - but I feel Him through His Word, through peace that follows prayer, and through the strength He gives me to keep going when I want to give up.

It's not about being perfect; it's about being consistent. Every day I choose to draw near, to quiet the world, to silence my fears, and to wait for His voice above all the noise. Sometimes I succeed and sometimes I fall, but I keep trying.

God's voice doesn't come without purpose. When He speaks, things move. And when He speaks in your life, it's because He's about to use you in a powerful way too!

Love you all!

Psalm 27 Reflection 🌿

This Psalm reminded me what it truly means to trust and wait on God.

I’m learning to surrender my family to Him — my husband who’s still finding his footing in faith, and my teenage son who’s watching and learning. God keeps showing me that I can’t fix everything; I need to step back and let Him work.

I’m also realizing that “seeking God’s face” isn’t just asking for His help or blessings — it’s about wanting to know Him more deeply. To sit in His presence, learn His ways, and see life through His eyes.

Waiting isn’t easy, but I’m finding peace in it. The more I lean on God, the lighter the weight feels — even when Satan tries to shake me.

God’s faithfulness reminds me daily that I am loved — even when I struggle to love myself. He is just, true, and always good.

Any questions let's talk it out!
