I'm really excited to have a feature wall at at and to work with who is super passionate about art and a talented, multidisciplinary artist herself. Thank you for your guidance and for hanging my art 🙏

If you know me well, you know how much of a huge accomplishment this is for me in my life for a variety of reasons. I'm so grateful for all the support, patience, and encouragement from friends and family over the years as I've worked hard breaking through some significant barriers. Creating truly is healing and I'm so dang proud of myself, as is 10-year old me ✨

Sharing just a few of my pieces that will be at the opening THIS Sunday, Sunday, June 7, 12:30 - 3:00pm.

I'm very excited (and grateful) that Shana Boudreau and Jim Middleton chose me last year to be the Featured Artist this June and July at The Orchard Gallery at York County Cider.

If you haven't been to York County Cider in a while, Shana and Jim have filled the walls with the beautiful works of local artists since last October, including a few of mine and Stephen's pieces. One wall is dedicated to a feature artist and you can find a mix of works by other lovely artists on the other walls.

Please join us on Sunday, June 7 to celebrate what's essentially my first art show! Come see what I've been creating, have a drink (loads of non-alc and non-cider options available), mingle, and play a fun game or two that I may come up with! Open mic music starts at 2:00pm so fell free to stick around for tunes 😊

I'm so stoked to have finally finished a batch of art that I've been working on for a while... Some of these pieces are reworked old pieces, many are new, and there's lots more not pictured.

I love painting but mixed media work is my favourite jam, especially because I get to pull materials from my huge stash of antique and vintage ephemera as well as use discarded materials. I waste nothing - leftover paint gets painted on whatever surfaces I have at hand and used in other projects; leftover cut pieces make their way into my use later stash, etc. It's such a joy to create and I'm grateful to have such eclectic taste that I get to express through my work.

These guys will be at the which opens this Wednesday!

I'm very excited to be participating in the again this spring with a good selection of mine and 's art through . I've been working on many pieces on and off since last summer and I'm relieved to finally be releasing some into the world. I'll share photos next week😎

THE TREASURE HAUL FOR THIS SUNDAY 😎

This is only a small portion of what we'll be bringing to the on Sunday and EVERY SINGLE TREASURE in these photos lived in the previous Periwinkle House (note the MCM swag lamp from our living room).

I'm still going through boxes and will have so many more cool treasures including art, tapestries, lighting, trinkets, dishware, barware, etc. from our personal collection as we downsize.

My favourite corner of the house
Where I start and sometimes finish my days
Staring into the trees
Serenaded by the sweet sounds
of the resident birds and chipmunks

The centre of Freddy's daily routine
In the calmest room in the house
Food, water, pills, treats
And Metamucil😎
Because cats get constipated too

Filled with vintage furniture and treasures
And plants that survived the bitter-cold move
The chair purchased from the previous homeowners
A lovely reminder of the original designers and caretakers of our home

This was their favourite corner too

(I have the perfect little Turkish rug to add some extra warmth under the toes)
