Oh lilacs. Sweet smelling springtime sweeties.

Did you know you can eat them too? Use them in simple syrup for cocktails, put them in homemade ice cream, infuse your honey or make lilac sugar for your baked goods, or just use them as the cutest garnish!

I’m grateful to live in a place where the lilacs bloom later and last longer than the rest of the country. What a gift!

Happy Father’s Day!! Here’s to all the dads near and far, here and gone. And here’s to my dad who left us too soon but continues to teach me every day. This day is never easy but I’m glad I have memories, photos, and clothes of his so he never feels too far.

This is my mom and dad on their wedding day, how precious are they?!

Flower Casserole!

Just kidding (kind of).

I try to squeeze as much life out of my flowers as possible, to really honor them respectfully and waste little. I do this by drying them; for confetti, pressed flowers, or for future dried arrangements or wreaths. These flowers are all from the telephone box installation.
