Curly Maple Charcuterie Board with Live Edge. Making this board was very special. A good friends father recently passed and he had this piece of maple in his wood shop. She passed it along to me since she knew I would appreciate it and put it to use. I like to think that he picked this particular piece for a reason. So really, he started it and I finished it. Tonight I gave this board back to her as a gift.

Ok, I’ve decided I’m not going to kid myself anymore and try to describe the nose and palette anymore (I have no idea what I’m talking about). So I will just share my basic thoughts. Featherbone Bourbon from Journeyman Distillery in Three Oaks, MI comes in at 90 proof and is sweeter than others I’ve had. I rather enjoyed this one. -fin-
