Been seeing a lot of posts about red pepper flakes lately, so here’s my take. Chickens in the wild aren’t searching out red pepper flakes, I’ve never given any to my flock, yet they lay plenty of eggs and have stayed healthy for years.
A lot of people say they use them for deworming, but good flock care goes a long way. We give raw garlic slices and raw pumpkin seeds every few months, keep the coops and runs clean, and make sure they always have fresh water. We’ve never had worm issues.
For me, I’d rather focus on clean living and proper care than adding spicy flakes to their feed. So… 🙅‍♀️

Chick Season is here! I hope everyone is hatching responsibly and taking responsibility for what they hatch. Roosters do very well living alone in a bachelor community. If you ultimately, just can't keep them. Hopefully, this guide will help you find a good home. Please save and share...if you know of a place not one here please let me know and I'll update
