The Dead Guy Nextdoor by Lucy Score

This book was so much fun, hence the 5 stars. All the characters were so lovable and each one had such a big personality. I was laughing through this whole book wanting more of each person. The banter between the FMC and MMC made me kick my feet and giggle, and all the side characters were, in a a word, a hoot lol. This is a perfect storm, a murder mystery, but still lighthearted and funny, an annoyance to lovers/fake dating romance, a sprinkle of psychic abilities, a healthy dose of revenge, and just a really good fun time. I went out and bought the rest of the series immediately after if thats any indication haha.

I’ve decided that dark gothic acedima romance is my new favorite thing lol. It’s perfect for spooky season! This is the kind of book you definitely want to read with the lights on low and a fire in the background. I know I only gave it 3.5 stars but I did like it a lot. It sucked me in and I just couldn’t put it down! Even after I finished it, I was STILL thinking about it for a few days. There was mystery, spookiness, forbidden romance with forced proximity, and a good plot. I thought it was fun, tense, had a fun vibe and it really took me into the world and I didn’t want to leave. Overall I liked how everything unfolded, it definitely kept me on the edge of my seat. For me where it lost stars was some of the wording was a little strange which would throw me every now and again. I like when I get all the answers, which we didn’t at the end of this one. Some people like that but its not for me, I NEED TO KNOW haha. There were some things that were a bit vague or confusing at times as well at the end and I wasn’t keen on that either.

Hi everyone! If you haven’t heard we have started making bookmarks to sell! Up until this point we have just been using Instagram (which is in our bio), but we thought we’d broaden our horizons haha.

We make fabric bookmarks with donated and secondhand fabrics. All of our bookmarks are first come first serve as we only have so much of each fabric. To purchase one you can dm us via Instagram or Facebook. We accept venmo and can work out other payment options, and we can ship anywhere! It is $5 for one bookmark and $20 for five. We will make sure to keep our inventory updated on our socials as well.

As well as bookmarks we post just a lot of book and reading content in general so if you don’t need a bookmark but love to read please follow along!!
