The wait is almost over!

Magic: The Gathering – Marvel Super Heroes has officially arrived at Last Stand Collectibles and we’re getting everything ready for this Friday’s Prerelease Event.

Whether you’ve had your preorder locked in for months or you’re just now jumping on board, this is shaping up to be one of the biggest Magic releases we’ve seen in a long time. Marvel’s iconic heroes meet Magic gameplay in a set that players and collectors alike have been eagerly waiting for.

Prerelease kicks off Friday, June 19th at 5:30 PM.

As we celebrate our 2nd Anniversary in Yakima, we’ve been reflecting on just how far this journey has come.

Last Stand actually began in 2016 in San Antonio, Texas, as Last Stand Comics, traveling from toy show to toy show and comic convention to comic convention as a vendor. In 2021, as the world was beginning to recover from COVID, we took our first step into a physical location with a small flea market space in San Antonio. As our business evolved beyond comics and into trading cards, collectibles, toys, and gaming products, we rebranded to Last Stand Collectibles.

When the opportunity arose to return home to Washington and open a brick-and-mortar store, we took a leap of faith. On June 18, 2024, Last Stand Collectibles opened its doors in a modest 400-square-foot space in Glenwood Square. We stocked vintage toys, Funko Pops, trading card games, accessories, and whatever else we could fit on the shelves.

Four months later, we had already outgrown that location and moved across the hall into an 1,100-square-foot space. The growth continued, and on our one-year anniversary, we made another move—this time into our current 1,800-square-foot home in Meadowbrook Mall.

Every step of that journey has been possible because of you.

Whether you’ve attended an event, played in a tournament, bought your first pack, painted your first miniature, traded in a collection, or simply stopped by to say hello, you’ve helped build the community that makes Last Stand Collectibles what it is today.

What started as a small vendor table nearly ten years ago has grown into something we could only dream about, and we’re still growing every month.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your support, your trust, and your friendship. We are incredibly grateful to be part of the Yakima community, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds.

Looking for something to do this week? We’ve got a packed schedule at Last Stand Collectibles!

Monday kicks off with Yu-Gi-Oh! Open Play, followed by Star Wars Unlimited and D&D Encounters on Wednesday. Thursday is Lorcana League night, and Friday is loaded with MTG Marvel Super Heroes Prerelease, Friday Night Magic, and the Lorcana Wilds Unknown Toy Story 5 Weekend Pack Rush.

The action continues Saturday with our Warhammer Battle League, another MTG Marvel Super Heroes Prerelease, and more Toy Story 5 Pack Rush fun. Then we wrap up the weekend on Sunday with one more chance to jump into the Wilds Unknown Toy Story 5 Weekend Pack Rush.

Whether you’re looking to battle, trade, paint, learn a new game, or just hang out with an awesome community, we’ve got a seat waiting for you.
