If a bear could speak, would you listen?

This bear, stitched onto the back of a cardigan, is not just a motif.
It’s the silent cry of a creature who knows the forest, holds its cub close, listens to the stillness, and asks for nothing but peace.
It says ‘No hunting!’ because freedom is not just a human right.
With every needle stroke, I wove in the weight of their silence, the sorrow of not being able to protect what is wild and innocent.
Please, let us remember “You shall not kill!”
While creating this piece, something in me quieted and something else began to speak.
Perhaps what we wear should carry the voice of the hunted, not the hunter.
