You may have been wondering where the posts are lately! There's certainly been no shortage of LEGO news lately with tons of new announcements, set releases, and perhaps most surprisingly a massive scandal involving a certain major LEGO store franchise, an elderly man's life savings stolen, and a YouTuber who may or may not have fled to Mexico (look it up).

Here, however, it's been quiet. But quiet doesn't mean idle.

Behind the scenes I've been grinding through the boring but essential stuff that makes a business run:

📦 Inventory audit on 4,500+ sets and counting
💻 Implementing new database software to better manage inventory
📸 Product photography of everything
🗂️ Shelf reorganization so I can actually find what I need when orders come in
🏪 Complete theme layout overhaul at Trader Buck's Flea Market to ensure the sets people actually want to buy are getting the placement and space they deserve (sorry Friends theme, but I can't give you 8 shelves anymore. It's not you, it's everyone else)
👥 Bringing on summer help to keep up with the growth

Not all of that makes for great content. But all of it makes for a better business.

The training wheels are almost off. Keep sticking around for what comes next!

Awesome! LEGO is for everyone!

This is also why I appreciate the absolutely miniscule variation tolerances and clutch power in LEGO manufacturing processes. This wouldn’t be possible with Mega Blocks builds, which in my experience can look just as good but do not offer the same enjoyable build experience.

I love stopping by the West Lafayette Public Library and seeing the latest Lego creations from young builders. Little architects, engineers, and storytellers expressing themselves one brick at a time.

The next LEGO Build event coming up for kids K-6 is on Saturday June 13th from 2:00-3:30pm.

If you’ve got a young builder at home this is exactly the kind of thing that sparks a lifelong love of creating.

Banta’s Bricks exists for them. Seeing the next generation of builders showing off their creativity in a library display case on a Tuesday is pretty great.

Tag someone with a young builder who belongs in this display case.
