Hello - I hope all is well. I am so excited about the upcoming Holiday Season. I enjoy creating handmade gifts for my family and friends. This season I decided to start a little early (I am a bit of a procrastinator).

Well, I found my tubs of Christmas stuff and was amazed at how much I had ( I used to sell my Holiday theme Jewelry, Ornaments, Gift Boxes, Cards, etc. at an Annual Holiday Theme Craft Show).

HEY TROUBLE! THIS AIN'T YOUR TYPICAL CRAFT FAIR.

Come on out Saturday to visit a very unique market hosted by a group of creative Troublemakers who create and sale Vintage, Bespoke, Salvaged and Handcrafted wares for those who dare to be different.

I recently traveled to NYC for a family event. Those close to me know that I love that city. I have not visited for the past two years due to COVID. I was so excited! When I arrived in the city, I was so surprised and disappointed to see many of my little shops shuttered and closed. What!? Yes, Mz. COVID had an impact on small businesses in the Big Apple. It appears only big chain stores survived. How sad! I do not travel to NYC or any other city to shop big chain stores. I don't shop them in DC. Lol!

All was not lost! I was happy to see that two of my fav flea markets survived - vibrant, up and running. Yes! I visited the petite home studio of a good friend who sews samples for local designers. (Her studio is soooo cute. I am not allowed to take pics in the studio and run the risk of mistakenly revealing a new design). Now, you know I came away with a bag of scraps, buttons and findings. I wondered how I would get the bag home. Lol! I also ran into several street vendors selling Funky Junk. Oh, my! More Junk! I had to get this stuff home. I could not leave it. 💘

Hello! I hope you are holding up well as the country begins to reopen. I have been spending time visiting Vintage & Thrift shops within an hour drive from DC in hopes of hosting One Day Vintage & Thrifting trips in the near future. I am also spending time crafting and creating. Right now, I am creating paper dolls (a childhood passion). So much fun! 💘

What's Happening @ Vintage Glam?

Hello my friends! I hope all is well. I look forward to the time we can come together for in-person events and activities. Ella and I are planning some local trips and activities - various destinations less than an hour away! In May 2021, we hosted a Vintage Boho Picnic in a restored barn at the beautiful Hope Farm in Waterford, VA. We will organize a bus trip for a day in the country. Taking a poll - please let me know if you are interested.

So much fun to assemble and gather as the process takes me down memory lane as many of the scraps have been in my personal 'junk' stash for close to 20 years.
