🍋Citric Acid🧴
🧪An Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) with a PH between 3 & 6 found in citrus fruits
🧪A chemical exfoliant which removes the dead skin cells off the epidermis (The outer layer of the skin)
🧪Has several benefits such as evening out the skin tone (Hyperpigmentation), repairing the skin (Cell Turnover Rate), balancing the skins PH, etc.
🧪Used as a PH adjuster in cosmetics. The Citric Acid Solution is used to lower the PH of beauty products such as feminine wash, shampoos, lotion/creams, etc.
💧Distilled Water💧
🧪Neutral with a PH of 7
🧪Used for aqueous (water based) formulations in cosmetics
🧪Sterilization/Disinfectants: This is what you should use to make your cleaning solutions such as Barbicide for example
🧪Highly recommended for use in steamers. Better for your client and will also help prevent/reduce calcium buildup on your steamers element.
🧼Sodium Hydroxide🧴
🧪A water soluble alkaline substance also known as lye with a PH of 13
🧪Used in soap making (Bar Soaps)
🧪Comes in the form of powder or flakes
🧪When dissolved in water it generates heat and can cause severe chemical burns if it comes in contact with the skin, resulting in permanent damage
🥼IT IS IMPORTANT TO WEAR GLOVES, GOGGLES, AND A PROTECTIVE BODY SUIT IF POSSIBLE WHEN HANDLING THIS PARTICULAR SUBSTANCE
🧪This solution is also a PH adjuster used in cosmetics to raise the PH in beauty products such as toners, shampoos, shower gels, etc.
