Yet each morning, she appears a little different than the night before.

Birdie found Mr. Whiskers at the edge of a deserted carnival just before dawn. No one knows who left him there, tied to a rusted fence with a piece of black string.

Since then, the two have been inseparable.

People say if you see Birdie standing alone in the fog, don’t wave. Don’t call her name. And whatever you do, don’t accept the vintage balloon if she offers it to you.

Because the next morning, Birdie will still have Mr. Whiskers…

…and no one will remember where you went.

Lil Bit never wanted a whole heart. She found that carrying too much love only made it easier to lose. So she stitched herself a tiny one and kept it tucked safely inside her chest, where no one could take it away. Now she wanders through the Monster Collection with her crooked smile and pink pigtails, collecting broken pieces of happiness others leave behind. The strange thing is, every missing piece she finds somehow ends up sewn into her little heart… and it grows a little larger each time. 🖤💕
