TxDOT will fully close I-35 this weekend to bring down the Valley Mills Dr. Direct Connect structure. This closure will have a major impact on travel across the Waco area.

Closure Window

• Begins: 12:00 AM, Friday 8/7
• Ends: By 5:00 AM, Sunday 8/9
• Full 24-hour closure is expected within that window
Closure Limits

• Full closure of I-35 between New Road and 12th Street

• Main lanes reduced from NB Sun Valley to New Road, and from SB Loop 340 to 12th

• Sun Valley Direct Connect: closed

• New Road and 11th/12th cross-street underpasses remain open for local traffic beneath I-35

Also Closed

• 17th/18th and Valley Mills Dr. — hard closures, should be treated as a wall. No access.

Alternate Routes
• Loop 340
• SH 6
• US 77
