I stepped back from posting about my small business for a bit, it was a much needed break after a viral post turned my home into a real-life sweat shop after hours this past holiday season. Here’s what actually happened behind the scenes:
⭐️Sales didn’t slow down. March ended up being one of my strongest non-holiday months, thanks in large part to repeat wholesale customers who continue to support my work
⭐️I shifted focus to what’s ahead, planning and building toward what Q3–Q4 will look like for my business this year
⭐️My full-time job needed more of me, including some travel, so I put real energy there. I love my side-hustle but I also like my steady paycheck and benefits. I’ve been working for 2 decades in my career and it’s definitely a top priority
⭐️Most importantly, I prioritized my family. My son, my partner, and my dog all got a very stretched-too-thin, burnt-out and stressed version of me during Christmas ornament season, and they deserved better. We also moved into a new home in town, and if you’ve ever moved, you already know…that’s a full-time job in itself 🫠
Follow along to see how I shape the business for 2026 💃
