⚠️ Help Us Identify a Vehicle Involved in a Dangerous Incident ⚠️

Last night, just before 7:00 PM on Blind Pass Beach Road, one of our Bicycles International group rides experienced a dangerous encounter.

A tan/brown 4-door car with dark tinted windows drove by our group. Two young people in the back seat were sitting on the window sills with most of their bodies hanging out of the vehicle. As they passed our riders, someone threw a bottle toward the group, creating a very dangerous situation.

Thankfully, no one was seriously injured.

If you witnessed this incident or have any information about the vehicle or the individuals involved, please contact the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office. You may also contact Bicycles International at 941-497-1590 with any information, and we’ll make sure it gets to the appropriate investigators.

Cyclists, pedestrians, and motorists all deserve to travel safely. We hope those responsible can be identified so this doesn’t happen to someone else.
