Dear friends, and followers,

Many of you may or may not know what has been happening with my absence this long while.

My beloved wife since 1974, pasted way with ALS, complicated by RSV, and Pneumonia. She had been in a convalescent home for just over one and a half years.

On Tuesday May 12th, life support was removed, she passed, 30 minutes later. She is no longer in pain and slipped away holding my hand.

She now rests with Jesus, her family and friends.

I have been building things slowly over the time, and will do my best to post things, when things calm down for me.

I have an exciting announcement, some of my instruments will be sold in a store in Woodland Washington. More on that later.

Forgive the photos, but this is one of my latest builds. It is of course a 4-string guitar, along the lines of Paul McCartney's 4 string bass.

It is an actual violin body. Paul's facsimile signature is at the top left face, and the gal that wanted it also added the decals on the back.

To all of Terri and I's friends and family.

PLEASE BE WARNED, we both have been going through some very rough times medically, and emotionally right now. Fire and Ambulance has been called for us both in the last month.
That's why I have been absent a lot since before the holidays.

IF you receive any communications from her, asking for anything, probably not her. That will include new friendship posts.

These people know a lot about her, and have copied her emails to learn how she talks and writes. IT IS NOT HER.

I have taken all of the steps to protect her, even getting her a new phone, and taking control of her banking. They STILL have tried to charge funds in her name.

She no longer has a debit card, and I will be suppling her wants and needs.

The latest scam is her asking for passwords to my accounts, because she has a computer and needs them for things.

Terri has lost most of her mobility control, and she hasn't had a computer in over a year. Her frontal lobe dementia is progressing.

PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND OR SHARE ANY SENSITIVE INFORMATION TO ANYONE REPRESENTING TO BE HER. DON"T "FRIEND HER" AS IT ISN"T HER.

They can be very persuasive.

I have been working on new items, but I have been terribly distracted.

SEASON'S BEST, TO ONE AND ALL!!

In this post, I will bring you up to date with me and BJolly Cigar Box Guitars.

Once again, I do have photos to post, but I want you to know why I have been away.

My wife has ALS and no longer lives here with me. Her condition is slowly getting worse, so I spend as much time with her as possible. She has been up in Woodland now over a year, and I live in Vancouver. Between her trips to doctors in Portland, and mine to various VA places, I have not had a lot of energy for much else.

To compound it, I have been undergoing lower jaw surgeries, with graft's and such, in the hopes that I will be able to once more, smile with confidence.

I myself now have a caregiver five days a week, and other's that come as well. They do most of my driving.

I am hoping to set up a real website but could use some help to get it up and going. If you know of someone, I am able to compensate someone for their time.

Terri and I are looking forward our future. AND I HAVE NOT STOPPED dreaming up and creating new builds.

I beg your patience, and I hope you all are having super holidays.

I'd like to welcome my newest followers. And to those who have been here awhile, I'd like to thank you all as well. Between my wife's declining health, as well as my ups and downs, I have not posted new things for some time. That doesn't mean I haven't been working on new instruments. I am re-working a room into an office and photo room where I can get better photos to post, and I have had three young ladies helping me. Look for new listings very soon.

Hi folks, I am sorry once more for not having anything new posted here lately.

I have been dealing with both Terri's and my own health again. Her ALS is advancing, and I have had a hard bout with a lung infection that simply won't go away.

Simple reminder's we are here though. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.

I am trying to buy a home, with a great shop and party area, so maybe I can have an open house if all goes well!

NEVER FEAR, I have a ton of projects I have slowly been working on and completing as able. You will be amazed, I hope. I'll post photos over the next few days.

Sorry for my absence, I have a lot going on.

HOWEVER here are a few things I'm working on.

The first is a Wine Box 4-string guitar, it is a tribute to my ship and shipmates. 50 years ago.

On April 29 and 30 1975, they were in harm's way, as the USS Durham was used in part to help evacuate Saigon, during the fall of Vietnam, in Operation Frequent Wind. She transported about 3,000 refugees from Saigon to Manila.

The license plate-based body has both a volume and tone pod on the two lower fastener holes.

Followed by a Single String, electric and fretted Bass Guitar.

It is made with a Salmon Box and a Boat Paddle

Finally, here are 5 various build "In the Works". The first is a Valentines Candy Box. Next is the "To the Moon". The 3rd is the first in a series of BIGFOOT themed instruments. Following that are two "Smokey the Bear" guitars.

Sorry I have been silent for so long. The hits just keep on rolling. Here at home, my eye has been swollen and aching me now going on three weeks. Two trips to the E.R. later, I'm on two antibiotics. If it doesn't clear up now, they have contacted the Eye doc's to take over.

I've also learned, it's not nice to flirt with a sharp tool with only one good eye.

I want to thank each and every one of you, that are following my work.

Due to family illness, and surgeries, I has been a little slow in my work.
