So, the Grown Up Book Fair is coming next month, and its the day before both Josh and I’s birthday! We’re both born June 7th, three years apart, almost to the exact time.

The only birthday gift we need is to be able to see all of our besties again while we figure things out. If we find a new spot by then, we’ll be sure to give out the address at the event.

We were looking at shooting for Waukee, but we needed to expand a bit further to hopefully expedite things.

As today is the last day at this location, we thank you for all of the amazing times and the unexpectedly overwhelming support you gave when you found out what had really been going on for so long.

We have new appointments lined up soon to take a look at new spots all over the place but we’d really like to be in one specific area so 🤞

If you’re new to this situation, we have to move so we can better take care of Zella, cheaper rent means more resources can go to her and we can have 100 stores, but there will only ever be one Zella.

Come say see ya later to us at the shop from 11 PM - 7 PM today ❤️

We’re packing up as much of the store as we can tonight and Friday May 1st is the last day at this location!

Since we missed out on the Waukee spot we wanted, we will be doing alot of online sales and keeping shelves in storage, so reach out if you want some of them.

Just a boy and his best friend, enjoying their new home together. This is the first day in a over a year for Josh with:

Nothing to do for the bookstore, (besides moving what we can today)

He doesn’t work any of the 3 jobs

Isn’t making phone calls or emails frantically piecing together a solution for a problem.

Friday, May 1st will be our final day of operation at our current location. Things got weird and when some people found out, they outed us and we had to leave quickly. Now, our remaining time at this location got much shorter than originally planned.

We had been planning a move for awhile because we knew that we couldn’t keep that location, and take care of Zella, so we of course chose Zella.

We aren’t going away forever so don’t think this is the end. We’ll still be around and waiting patiently to open a great new space. It’s not goodbye, it’s a see ya later ❤️

Yesterday went so well that we are extending our sale to include today (Sunday, 4/26) so get your books, records and more! Doesn’t include local artists or authors work. We still have a few shelves left for purchase so drop by the store today ❤️
