Happy Sunday everybody! We’re back with round 2 from the large single-owner collection. Today we have several clean, budget-friendly carded figures and Diecast vehicles just in time for the holidays. If you’re looking for something that displays well without a huge price tag, there’s probably something here for you. Have a look at the photos and reach out if you have any questions. You can claim something here in the comments or through DM. We will do our best to determine who was first if there are competing claims. Shipping is not included. TIE Fighter Pilot on 48-C back card. AFA 75, but boy is this grade deceptive! The card received a 90 subgrade, but the bubble received a 70. Why you ask? As near as we can tell, base stem has what I assume is a split. I believe it is totally factory in nature, but the graders woke up feeling dangerous that day. We thought it was a lock for an 85. Our miscalculation is your gain. It's the nicest clear bubble, unpunched, price-tagless 75 you will ever own in your life. $650

Leia Hoth on 45-A back card. Ungraded. Unpunched. Bubble is slightly yellowed. No dents or cracks and the gun is still taped to the side. Figure look beautiful. Card has no creases on the front or back that we can see. Really, really nice example. $600

Anakin on 70-D back Tri-Logo card with Clipper catalog. AFA 80. Unpunched. Clear bubble. Beautiful example. Card and figure are 85's. $650

Cairo Swordsman on 4-back card. AFA 90. Unpunched. Clear bubble. Very nice example. $650

Lobot on 41-B back card. Ungraded. Unpunched. Bubble appears clear to me. Two extremely tiny indentations on the top. Card front is crease free. The back has a crease in the bottom left corner and where the top of the bubble is. Overall it's a great looking example. $225

1983 letter from Kenner employee to LFL VP of Merchandising thanking her for an invitation
to a private screening of Return of the Jedi. Response letter from LFL VP on LFL embossed letterhead acknowledging the thank you and congratulating her on her promotion. Also included is the ROTJ Tri-fold program the employee received at the screening. $100

May 1980 General Mills/Kenner employee magazine "Family". Articles on Bernie Loomis including an 8-page
spread on Kenner and 4-page article devoted exclusively to Strawberry Shortcake. $75

1980 Toy Fair Appointment Book. These books were printed exclusively for Kenner and given to attendees to take
notes and keep track of meetings, appointments ands expenses. It's filled with names, numbers and notes.
Most of these ended up in the trash and are quite rare. $200

1981 Kenner Employee Promotion Congratulations Letter. This was sent from Lucasfilm VP Merchandising to the Kenner/GM employee.
Both the letter and envelope have a really nice embossed LFL logo. Includes employee's General Mills business card. $75

8.5x11 Kenner Holiday Party announcement featuring Hammerhead as Santa. This is a photocopy with tack hole at top,
but the Kenner "K" is hand-drawn. $50

1979 Kenner Forum Company Newsletter Vol. 2, Issue 1. These were mailed to employee's home. Very rare. $150

Tomorrow we will be posting the first batch of items for sale from our recent find, but before we do we, a few folks have asked about the backstory to the collection so we thought we’d share that first.

The collection belonged to a single owner who passed away in 1994. After he died, everything was placed in totes and boxes where they sat untouched for 31 years. The collection was recently purchased from the widow by an estate company. What’s interesting is that the parties had done business in the past and they were aware of the collection, but she was never interested in selling. After a few years passed, they actually lost her contact information and forgot all about the collection. Out of the blue about a month ago, she reached back out to them saying she was finally ready to let everything go and a deal was struck.

The estate group began their search for someone who would be interested in a collection this size and fortunately found us. We got the call on Saturday the 4th while we were set up at the Great Ohio Toy Show in Xenia. We drove to them the next day and finalized a deal.

Much of what he owned was purchased at Lazarus, Rikes, Hills, Toys R Us and through the JC Penney catalog. Like most large collections this age, condition is a mixed bag, but everything is either factory sealed or the box was opened to look at the contents and then shoved back in undisturbed. So everything is brand new with unopened factory bags, stickers unapplied and all the paperwork and inserts. We’ll be dropping off several pieces at AFA in the next week or so. Some things we’ll be making available here online and some things we will save for our next show. Thanks for all the interest and we hope there’s something for everyone.
