We keep preaching that the requirements are the bare minimum! Yes, I am talking about fi****ms training. Many states and all law enforcement agencies have required training, but is that enough? Well this article again confirms that apparently it is not! This 15 year study from Dallas PD showed that trained police officers in deadly force encounters only hit their target about 35% of the time, there were some up to about 50%. So if they at best hit their target half of the time how will you do when faced with a violent attack? Never except the bare minimum, it is up to you to get out there and take classes and learn more! I am already over 75 hours of additional training this year myself! That is courses that I have attended as a student!
