Been working on the idea of a Death's Head Hawk-moth. I have a gorgeous moss agate that would make an amazing body for the moth. I got my copper gallery wire soldered onto my silver and trimmed a bronze bezel cup for my handmade fine silver shotplate skull for the thorax.

These moths are amazing creatures. It's home is in Southern Europe, Africa, And the Middle East. However, with their impressive wingspan of up to 5 inches across, they have been found flying near ships many miles from shore, and occasionally visit countries as far away as the British Isles.

Earlier this month, I designed and forged a circlet diadem for a Roll Your Destiny quest. The quest -- part of the Tolkien weekend festivities in Waynesville, Ohio -- culminated in a raffle for all those who completed the quest. The diadem -- a gift from the Lady Galadriel and her personal Ladysmith (me) has been awarded!

Finished the pendant for a big, beautiful new necklace -- a hinged, clean, modern setting for this gorgeous sky blue agate. Arge tium silver, bronze, sterling and yellow goldfill

These two pieces were complex projects. Multiple cuts, forming, creating granulations, miltiple levels of soldering, and handmade chains. The "Meadow Maiden" (whimsical dragonfly) has a handmade fine silver (99.9% pure silver) chain (no tarnish!). Her body is made of argentium silver with yellow gold fill accents

"The Messenger" is made of argentium silver and copper with aqua cat's eye stones. I am considering swapping out the aqua for a natural mother-of-pearl, which would have a silvery gray luminescence. Whenever a pearl is added, it does limit which cleaning method can be used...so not sure I want to do that.
